LHIP interns will provide interpretive programs at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park including tours of President Johnson’s Texas White House and Boyhood Home. They will also staff the Johnson City Visitor Center front desk which involves greeting visitors, orienting them to the park, and handling gift store sales. Interns will develop a new Junior Ranger workbook for the park, ideally one that requires more interaction between the Junior Ranger and the various resources within the park than our current one and provides options for different age groups. The intern will also create a Spanish language version of the Junior Ranger workbook. The creation of the workbook will culminate in the presentation of the workbook to the park staff and a Junior Ranger Day to be held in the park wherethe new workbook will be unveiled. Interns will also develop a Spanish language version of our park brochure and Every Kid in a Park outreach materials.
