Description

Research the natural and cultural resources within Everglades National Park and the greater Everglades ecosystem, and use this information to educate park visitors on important resource topics.

The interpretive intern will develop and present a variety of formal interpretive programs to diverse audiences.  Programs include formal interpretive talks and guided hikes, roving trails, and informally educating visitors on topics such as Everglades ecology and biology, invasive species and Everglades restoration opportunities. Additionally, the intern will assist in operating the park’s main visitor center, staffing the information desk, and monitoring supplies of visitor informational material.
