I am currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home to Missoula from Denver, after an amazing Latino Heritage Internship Program (LHIP) Conference. These last four days have been jam packed with learning, being inspired, meeting like-minded individuals, professionalism, exploring, adventures, and memories.

I just wanted to take a quick minute to thank everyone at LHIP for an amazing summer, an awesome internship, and a wonderful closing conference. There is so much more I could say, much of which was covered at the conference, but I really just wanted to reiterate that the people I have met with LHIP and the experiences that I have had this last summer at my site (Casa Grande Ruins National Monument) have really inspired me to keep reaching and to be an influential Latina member not only in my community but also in my profession.

So, thanks a billion, safe travels to all the interns heading home, and sleep well to the organizers of LHIP 🙂
